This tree has been shown at numerous exhibitions and has also resided at the national collection in Canberra. Originally designed as a bonsai in the early 1980s; it appeared in Bonsai Focus magazine (the leading global bonsai publication) in 2017. It is arguably the most significant example of an advanced native bonsai in Australia. The size and appearance of the tree, the broad base and the gnarled lichen-filled cambium (bark) creates an impressive, seemingly ancient tree.
