These 210mm pliers are ideal for creating dead wood features (also known as Jin and Shari in Japanese) on your compositions. The name of this tool refers to the use of intentionally presented branches within bonsai known as Jin. The exposed sections of heartwood within the trunk are known as Shari. The skill involves nibbling or stripping away at the bark until a representation of element affected dead wood is revealed. This tool however has many more uses within the craft, including wire tying and un-winding.
